Sony Lavender To Launch Next Month As Xperia T4 Ultra

Sony’s smartphone business hasn’t exactly been thriving lately. This Japan-based company has been having issues turning profits in the mobile sector, and they could really benefit from introducing a unique and eye-catching device in the future. We’ve seen some rumors regarding their upcoming Xperia Z5 flagship which is due to arrive in a couple of months, and we’ve also seen the leaked parts of another rather interesting Sony-branded device a while back. The device in question is Sony ‘Lavender’, which will allegedly sport very narrow side bezels. Anyhow, some new info surfaced regarding this phone, read on.

A couple of Sony ‘Lavender’ (E5503) leaks surfaced in the past, and in addition to what we’ve mentioned, this handset will reportedly going to be powered by a MediaTek’s SoC. Interestingly enough, this handset is expected to be a mid-range offering by the company, not a high-end device some of you might expect. Now, according to a new leak, this device will be called Xperia T4 Ultra once Sony launches it, and according to the provided info, that will happen next month. That being said, Sony ‘Lavender’ is rumored to sport a 5.5-inch 1080p (1920 x 1080) display along with 2GB of RAM. The device will reportedly going to be powered by MediaTek’s MT6752 64-bit octa-core SoC running at 1.7GHz, and the 13-megapixel camera (Sony’s IMX214) sensor will be available on its back. Android 5.0 Lollipop is expected to come pre-installed here with Sony’s skin on top of it, and you’ll also going to be able to take advantage of two SIM card slots here.
