Fresh off announcing their new Un-carrier mobile without borders plan that allows for regular service across the border in Mexico and Canada, T-Mobile continues to make waves. T-Mobile has partnered with Major League Baseball for an epic fan giveaway at this year All-Star game in Cincinnati on July 14 weekend. T-mobile will send 10,000 fans on a trip to Mexico or Canada by collectively giving away $5 million if they correctly pick the player to hit a three-run home run.
If you want to enter all fans have to do, is while watching the 2015 All-Star game just pick their player by tweeting #3for1HomeRun plus #sweepstakes and it’s that easy. If the player they pick does hit a three-run homer, T-Mobile will select 10,000 fans randomly who have chosen the right player. After that, they will then give all 10,000 of them a $500 travel voucher for travel toward Mexico or Canada. T-Mobile CEO John Legere had this to say about the sweepstakes. “Yesterday we broke down borders for US wireless customers and gave them the freedom to use their phones in Mexico and Canada – just like in the US”. The Un-carrier is the 1s and only place consumers can get 3 countries under 1 plan at no extra cost. “Now we’re making 3-for-1 count in a big way during the MLB All-Star Game. Any 3 for 1 home run hit will give 10K fans free travel to Mexico or Canada. It’s all part of Un-carrier Amped!”
As the first-ever Presenting Sponsor of the Major League All-Star game, T-Mobile is having an All-Star FanFest that will give T-Mobile customers a lot of perks at the game and around the weekend. T-Mobile customers will get to avoid long lines by utilizing T-Mobile Jump lanes at the front gate as well as meet and greet with past and present players at the FanFest and T-Mobile stores around Cincinnati. At these meet and greets, customers and fans will be able to get autographs and talk and take pictures with the players. This has been a banner month for T-Mobile and CEO John Legere, and it only looks to get stronger with the impending debut of yet another Un-carrier plan set to be unveiled next week. This All-Star announcement coupled with the news that T-Mobile added 2.1 million customers in the second quarter to bring its customer count to almost 59 million is great news for their future.
