A number of new games launched this week onto the Play Store and if you’re looking for a few titles which might be able to help you kill some time during this 4th of July holiday weekend, check out the list below for some great new additions to the Android gaming scene.
The Silver Bullet
The Silver Bullet is a top angle shooter with plenty of action. In the game, your character has to infiltrate a military research lab which has made a pact with the devil. As you progress you’ll come across a number of demons and enemy military combatants, and with your trusty dual pistols and silver bullets (hence the name) you’ll take them out one by one. The gameplay is basically a dual-stick shooter type, and there seems to be a fair bit of complexity to the storyline and the attention to detail in te level design. If you like games you can pay once for and be free of ads or IAP’s check out The Silver Bullet.
Socioball
Socioball is a puzzle game, so right off the bat you know it’s going to have some challenging moments. Each level tasks you with getting the little blue ball from one point to another on the board, and each time you’ll have to complete this task by following along a certain path. The trick is that tiles on the board will be missing, and you’ll have to insert the correct tiles in the right spots to get from start to finish. It’s a rather cool little game with over 60 puzzles so if you like games that make you think, give Socioball a look.
Vainglory
If you’re a MOBA game fan, you’ve likely already heard about Vainglory. It’s been a wildly popular hit on iOS, and now it’s finally launched on the Android platform so strap yourself in, steel your nerves and prepare for intense, chaotic team fights. The game is free to play like most other MOBA titles, and while there are IAPs you won’t ever have to spend a dime. As long as you play you’ll be able to unlock other characters. If you enjoy PvP combat games, Vainglory is definitely not to be missed.
Dead Among Us
Dead Among Us feels and plays a lot like the Contract Killer games from Glu, so if you enjoyed those then you’ll probably find enjoyment in Dead Among Us. In this game you’ll be armed with a bow and arrow and you’ll be taking out zombies and other undead, but it won’t be just a bunch of mindless shooting as there does seem to be some objective based tasks here and there, like defending companions while they attempt to pick up supplies. As you progress through the game you’ll switch to different vantage points to make sure you can keep an eye on the encroaching zombie horde.
Sonic Dash 2: Sonic Boom
This is the sequel to the original Sonic Dash which released last year. It has some pretty updated visuals to take advantage of the more powerful devices and you can even play as some new characters it looks like. It also lets you run with three characters at a time and SEGA has incorporated new challenges and new level backgrounds too. The only downside to this game right now is that SEGA has only soft launched in a number of regions, and sadly the U.S. is not one of them. For now there is no release date for the U.S. launch of the game, and we couldn’t find out the soft launch regions. If you’re interested in trying out Sonic Dash 2, check the link and see if it’s available in your area.
