Have you ever thought YouTube needed a friend? A companion with which it could help to deliver you a nice helping of streamlined content and videos from some of your favorite channels? Whether or not you’ve been wanting this as a native function in the YouTube app, you won’t necessarily need it anymore. A new app called Tuber is setting up a way for viewers to watch the channel content they subscribe to without having to wade their way through tons of other videos they have no interest in. Essentially, it’s streamlining the whole viewing process for users. When you’re just looking to view a few videos here and there, open up YouTube. However, if you’re looking for a way to view just the content you subscribe to, Tuber seems to be the answer.
The idea behind Tuber is making things simple. So instead of opening up YouTube and being directed straight to the “what to watch” screen, Tuber opens right up to a panel with the channels you subscribe to, allowing you immediate access to a list of everything you want to keep tabs on. You can also hit a button in the top right corner of the app which opens up a page list of new videos if there happen to be any, if not it’ll alert you with a message that are there no new videos to view at this time.
When you open up a specific channel you subscribe to, the list will contain all the videos from that particular channel from the latest video to the oldest, starting with the latest video at the top so if you’re already caught up on what they have uploaded except for the most recent, you can see that immediately. Now, YouTube shows the latest videos at the top too, but you can’t set the app up to deliver you the “my subscriptions” page right from the time you open the app. If you like YouTube, and you like simplicity now and again, Tuber is a nice little app to consider keeping installed on your device. If you don’t use YouTube too often, then it may not be much of a hassle for you to reach into the hamburger menu and scroll to tap on the subscriptions anyway.
