Philips has released a teaser via their official Weibo (Chinese social network) account, it seems like the Philips S396 is on its way. This handset will feature an 8-megapixel front-facing camera, a 5-inch 720p (1280 x 720) display and will be powered by a quad-core SoC running at 1.5GHz. Android 5.0 Lollipop will also be a part of this package, and the 8-megapixel shooter will also be located on the back of this device. The phone will also pack 1GB of RAM, 8GB of storage and will offer 4G LTE connectivity.
Samsung To Invest In 10 New R&D Projects In South Korea
The Korea-based tech giant has revealed that they’ll support 10 new research and development projects on system software and smart sensor materials in South Korea. This investment will be a part of Samsung’s R&D support program which launched back in 2013, the company has already invested in more than 160 projects. Three New Countries Get Additional International Carrier Billing Options In The Play Store
The vast majority of people use credit / debit cards in order to pay for content in the Google Play Store, but the carrier billing is also available in some countries. Well, three new countries have been added to that list, Mexico, Slovakia and Indonesia. Keep in mind that your carrier needs to support this option. That being said, Nextel and lusacell now support it in Mexico, Slovak Telekom is on board in Slovakia, and XL/AXIS has been added in Indonesia. Also, keep in mind that this option works only on post-paid accounts.
Foxconn Intends To Open 12 Factories In India By 2020
Foxconn manufactures smartphones for many, many smartphone OEMs in the world. This company has already announced a while back that they intend to expand their facilities to India as well, and it seems like Foxconn intends to open up 12 new factories in India and hire over 1 million people in the process. This company already employs around 1.1 million people in China, and it seems like a huge expansion is in the cards. Foxconn intends to do this by 2020, we’ll see if they succeed or not.
Infocus M2 4G Is A New Mid-Ranger For The Indian Market
Infocus has introduced their new handset, Infocus M2’s successor. The Infocus M2 4G has been introduced in India, this handset sports a 4.2-inch 1280 x 768 LTPS display along with 1GB of RAM and 8GB of in-built storage. The 8-megapixel cameras are located on both the front and back side of this handset, and same can be said about the LED flash. This is a dual-SIM handset, and it offers 4G LTE, as its name suggests. Android 4.4 KitKat comes pre-installed here, and the device is powered by the Snapdragon 400 quad-core SoC, and comes in Black and White color options. The phone will go on sale starting July 24th and will be available exclusively through Amazon.in for Rs. 5,499.

Oppo has added yet another device to the company’s ‘Joy’ series, the Joy 3. This handset features a 4.5-inch 854 x 480 IPS display, 1GB of RAM and 4GB of internal storage (expandable up to 32GB). Only 22 countries have access to the paid content on the Google Play Newsstand at this moment, and the free content is available basically everywhere.
