ZTE has been quite busy lately. In the last couple of months, ZTE has announced the company’s new flagship line of devices, the Nubia Z9 smartphones. The Nubia Z9 Mini is a mid-range offering, while the Nubia Z9 and Nubia Z9 Max belong in the high-end premium sort. The company has also released the long-rumored ZTE Axon handset recently, a rather affordable high-end smartphone. Well, it seems like ZTE is nowhere done announcing stuff considering they just unveiled two additional products at the MWC in Shanghai, read on.
This Chinese smartphone OEM has announced one new smartphone, which we’ll talk about in a second, and a gadget called ‘ZTE SmartHome’. This is basically a gateway for smart gadgets, it will enable you to connect all sorts of smart gadgets to it, such as smart lightbulbs, baby monitors, etc. This actually works through a wireless protocol called ZigBee, 4G LTE connection is also supported though. That being said, ZTE has also announced the Blade D6 smartphone. This is a mid-range device made out of aluminum, and it weighs only 120 grams, not to mention it’s only 6.95mm thick. This thing sports a 5-inch 720p (1280 x 720) display along with 2GB of LPDDR3 RAM and 16GB of internal storage (expandable via microSD card). MediaTek’s MT6735 processor fuels this handset, and 4G LTE connectivity is also available here, in case you were wondering. The 13-megapixel camera is located on the back of this handset, and is flanked by a dual-LED, dual tone flash. The 5-megapixel shooter (88-degree wide-angle lens) is available on the front side of this device. The 2,200mAh battery is also a part of this package, and the Blade D6 comes with Android 5.0 Lollipop out of the box with ZTE’s MiFavor 3.0 UI on top of it.
ZTE’s Blade D6 smartphone comes in Gold, Silver, Grey and Pink color options, and it will be available in Australia, Japan and Russia in the coming months. These are not the only markets in which this handset will be available, but it seems like they’re the first markets we’ll see this thing launched in, stay tuned.
