ZUK Z1 Might Sport 3GB Of RAM And A Snapdragon SoC

A while back, we’ve talked about a new company named ZUK. This Chinese company is actually backed by both Lenovo and Qihoo 360, and they’re working on released a new handset called the ZUK Z1. We already know quite a few details about this device, it will be powered by Cyanogen OS, and we’ve also seen a number of surfaced camera samples. We also know that the device will sport a fingerprint scanner, that it will pack a rather big battery, and a USB 3.0 has also been confirmed. Well, some new info leaked recently, read on.

According to the info provided by the source, Lenovo will actually play a big part in ZUK Z1’s availability. It seems like Lenovo will distribute the phone throughout their branches all over Europe. The source also claims that the Snapdragon SoC will power this handset, most likely the Snapdragon 810, though that hasn’t been confirmed yet. The phone will reportedly also pack in 3GB of RAM and will arrive in 16, 32 and 64GB variants, and quite probably won’t offer microSD expansion. The 13-megapixel camera (LED flash included) was more or less confirmed earlier, and the phone will also ship with a 5.5-inch display. Android 5.1 Lollipop will allegedly come pre-installed on this device, and Cyanogen OS will run on top of it. Interesting enough, the source also mentions CyanogenMod, does this mean there will be more than one variant of the device?

The ZUK Z1 will reportedly land next month, in August, and will support the following networks: GSM/EDGE (2, 3, 5, 8); CDMA – BC0;
UMTS – 1, 2, 5, 8; CDMA2000 – BC0, TD-SCDMA – 34, 39; TDD – 39, 40, 41(38); FDD – 1, 3, 7. The ZUK Z1 certainly seems like an interesting device, and it will be interesting to see how will the final product both look and perform. These are really solid specifications for a device which will reportedly be somewhat affordable. Take the shared info with a grain of salt, as it usually goes with rumors / leaks. even though the source claims this info is accurate. The phone will reportedly launch next month, which gives us plenty of time to see additional info and what not, so stay tuned for that. We’ll report back as soon as something ZUK-related pops up.
