AT&T Confirm Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge+ Pricing & Availability

This morning, Samsung finally brought to a close to massive speculation surrounding what was going to unveiled by them. It was largely taken for granted that the company would unveil the next generation Note device, in the form of the Galaxy Note 5 and it had also been largely speculated that another Galaxy S6 variant was inbound, in the form of the Galaxy S6 Edge+. Well, both rumors were confirmed today by Samsung, when both devices were finally unveiled and formally introduced. Not to mention, Samsung has also confirmed that both devices will be available to buy from August 21st.

Now following on from that announcement, AT&T have confirmed that they will be stocking and selling the Galaxy S6 Edge+. In terms of their details, AT&T have confided that the Galaxy S6 Edge+ will be available on their network from August 21st and you can actually pre-order the Galaxy S6 Edge+ on AT&T from 3pm EDT today. While in terms of pricing, the Galayx S6 Edge+ is available in two variants, 32GB and 64GB and both are available with $0 down on all AT&T Next plans. The 32GB version will cost $27.17 per month on AT&T’s Next 24 plan, $33.96 per month on Next 18 plan and $40.75 per month on Next 12 plan. While the 64GB version will be available on AT&T’s Next 24 for $30.50 per month, Next 18 for $38.13 per month and Next 12 for $45.75 per month. In addition, AT&T have confirmed a few promotions. The first means you can switch your wireless bill from another carrier and receive a $300 bill credit (if you are a DIRECTV or AT&T U-Verse TV customer). Not to mention, you will get an additional $200 promotional card for each device you trade-in. If you are a current AT&T customer, by upgrading to a Galaxy S6 Edge+ on AT&T, you will also get a a minimum $200 trade in value for your old phone. New AT&T customers who switch from another carrier will receive a $100 bill credit and can also receive $200 buyback credit if they trade in their old smartphone

If you need a recap on what is on offer for that price, the Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge+ comes sporting a much bigger 5.7-inch display with a 2560 x 1440 (Quad HD) resolution. Inside, the Galaxy S6 Edge+ comes equipped with 4GB RAM and powered by Samsung’s own Exynos 7420 octa-core processor. In terms of battery power, this is again a non-removable battery (although this time upgraded to 3,000 mAh). The camera on the back is the same 16-megapixel camera on offer with the Galaxy S6 Edge and likewise the same 5-megapixel front facing camera is on offer. Last but not least, the Galaxy S6 Edge+ comes running on Android 5.1.1 (Lollipop) with Samsung’s TouchWiz UI over the top.
