Costco to sell Verizon Droid Turbo 2

Welp here we go folks. It’s getting to that time of the year where we get a whole lot of new toys. Just last week, Motorola announced a few new toys for us and Samsung will have the Galaxy Note 5 and Galaxy S6 Edge+ next week. But what about the new DROID? Well we basically knew it was coming. And Motorola hinted at it, saying that this isn’t all the products they have for the year. Typically DROID products are announced at a Verizon event, and it looks to be that case this year as well.

According to this leak, courtesy of Android Central, it appears that Costco is prepping to sell the Galaxy Note 5, Galaxy S6 Edge+ as well as the DROID Turbo 2. This is really the first mention we’ve seen of the Turbo 2. We don’t know anything about the specs or anything like that. However, since the Moto X Play is not coming to the US, I have a hard time believing that it won’t be the same – at least spec wise – as the Moto X Play. Similar to last year where the rest of the world got the Moto Maxx which was essentially the DROID Turbo.

The other two devices listed there the Galaxy Note 5 and Galaxy S6 Edge+, we know quite a bit about already, and we should know a whole lot more next week when Samsung has their Unpacked event in New York City. Which we will be attending. So make sure you keep it locked right here for all the coverage. The Galaxy S6 Edge+ appears to be a Galaxy Note sized device, but with the curved edges, which is a nice thing to have. As we loved the curved edges on the Galaxy S6 Edge earlier this year. And the Galaxy Note 5 is said to be a 5.66 inch device with a QHD AMOLED display, Exynos 7420 processor and 4GB of RAM. Of course, there will be plenty more on that next week.

It looks like from this memo that Costco won’t see the DROID Turbo 2 in any of their stores, as you see the “N/A” there. While the Galaxy Note 5 and Galaxy S6 Edge+ are shown as “All Stores”. We can also see that Samsung will be offering 32GB and 64GB models of the Galaxy Note 5 and Galaxy S6 Edge+.
