Samsung’s Unpacked event has bore some interesting fruit this week, with the unveiling of not only the Galaxy Note 5, but also the long rumored Galaxy S6 Edge+, a device which is essentially as big as the Galaxy Note 5 with a 5.7-inch screen but lacks an S Pen and carries all the same features as the Galaxy S6 Edge original. For the most part, the Galaxy S6 Edge+ will be just like the Galaxy S6 Edge in just about every way save for the screen size which would be the only way to tell them apart just by looking at them.
The display on the Galaxy S6 Edge+ will be 5.7-inches in size and of Samsung’s Super AMOLED technology protected by Gorilla Glass 4 and it’ll be sporting a Quad HD resolution with 518 ppi. It’s powered by Samsung’s in-house Exynos 7420 CPU which already powers the Galaxy S6 and the Galaxy S6 Edge, which is an octa-core chipset and 64-bit. Alongside that is 4GB of RAM and multiple different storage size options of 32GB, 64GB but no room for expansion just like with the Galaxy S6 and Galaxy S6 Edge from earlier in the year. It’s also running Android 5.1 Lollipop out of the box and it’s carrying a 16MP OIS rear camera as well as a 5MP front facing camera for video chat and selfies. As far as the battery, we’re looking at 3,000mAh.
