Huawei Mate S Leaks In A Number Of Real Life Images

Huawei Mate7 was one of the most beautiful devices launched last year. That phone sported really nice metal design, and many companies have since then adopted that design language. The Mate8 was (and still is) expected to launch during IFA in Berlin next month, but the Mate7S and Mate S names have been mentioned quite frequently lately. It remains to be seen if Huawei intends to launch both the Mate7(S) and Mate8, or will they launch only one device. The company has recently announced the Honor 7i smartphone with a flip-up camera, and a Huawei-branded device with a curved display has also leaked recently.

That being said, a number of new images of Huawei Mate S have surfaced. If you take a look at the gallery down below you’ll get to see quite a few real life images of the alleged Mate S phablet, and the person holding the device even compares it to the iPhone 6, so you can see how big the Mate S is while you’re at it. The dual-LED, dual tone flash, and the rear-facing fingerprint scanner are clearly visible in these images as well, and you can also see that the volume rocker and power / lock physical buttons will be located on the right-hand side of this phablet. The phone will not sport any capacitive buttons, but will feature the on-screen software ones instead.

According to previous leaks, the Mate S will feature a 6-inch QHD (2560 x 1440) Force Touch display along with 3 or 4GB of RAM. The 4,500mAh battery has also been mentioned a number of times thus far, and the phablet will reportedly going to be powered by either the HiSilicon Kirin 935 or Kirin 950 SoC. The Kirin 935 was mentioned as the chip to power the Mate S, and Kirin 950 was rumored to fuel the Mate8, but we still can’t confirm any of this. The 20.7-megapixel camera is said to be located on the back of the Mate S, and the 8-megapixel snapper will be available up front. This phablet will offer 4G LTE connectivity, and Android Lollipop will come pre-installed here with Huawei’s EMUI (Emotion UI) skin on top of it. Keep in mind that Huawei has already scheduled a press conference in Berlin on September 2nd, so you can expect the Mate7S / Mate S / Mate8 to launch then.
