Huawei's Honor 7 Priced At €349.99 In Europe

This morning, Huawei announced the next step in their sub-brand’s Honor 7 smartphone’s evolution. The Honor 7 was first unveiled by Huawei back in June, however, the unveiling was for the China market and commenced the availability of the device in the region. For those outside of China, Huawei did confirm at the same time that the Honor 7 would be eventually coming to the European markets as well. This morning’s announcement from Huawei was the confirmation that the Honor 7 has now indeed launched in Europe from today. Countries that were listed to be seeing the Honor 7 arrive included the United Kingdom, France, Germany, Spain, Italy, Finland and The Netherlands. These were the European countries which would immediately begin to see the Honor 7, although, there was further confirmation that the device would become available in other European regions going forward.

That said, the one aspect which was not confirmed at the time was the price. However, since then Huawei has now let the cat out of the bag and revealed the price of the Honor 7. Those who have been following the Honor 7 ‘s European news will remember that a couple of days ago, rumors began to emerge that the Honor 7 was likely to become available for less than £200 in the UK. Well, today’s confirmation now suggests that figure was a little bit of an underestimation, as Huawei are confirming the Honor 7 will cost €349.99 in Europe. To put this into perspective, the previously touted £200 roughly equates to â‚¬274.

In terms of what’s on offer for that price, the Honor 7 comes touting a 5.2-inch display with a 1920 x 1080 resolution. Inside the Honor 7 is equipped with 3GB RAM and powered by a 64-bit Huawei HiSilicon Kirin 935 octa-core processor (clocking at 2.2 GHz). Storage is set at 16GB as standard, although there is a microSD card slot to expand on the storage when needed. Moving to the camera side of things and the Honor 7 comes equipped with a 20-megapixel rear camera which is coupled with an 8-megapixel front-facing camera. Additional features on offer include dual-SIM support, 4G LTE connectivity and a 3,100 mAh battery. The Honor 7 comes running on Android 5.0 Lollipop pre-installed along with Huawei’s EMUI 3.1 UI over the top.
