The Moto X Play, which is Motorola’s lower-end smartphone announced last month, is now appearing in Moto Maker. However, since it’s not coming to the US, it’s only in Europe for now. We have our own theory about it not coming to the US just yet. It’s on Moto Maker so you can head into Moto Maker and start customizing your Moto X Play. While it’s not going to be available in the leather and wood options that the Moto X Style gets, it does still look quite nice. There are plenty of colors for the back, with the black or white front, and about 10 colors for the accents. Which cover the strip on the back as well as the speaker grills on the front.
In Moto Maker you also have the option of engraving your Moto X Play as well as having a custom greeting. You can also choose between 16GB of storage or 32GB. The 32GB model is going to be about £40 more. Which is expected, but still cheaper than other smartphones out there. The Moto X Play comes with a 5.5-inch 1080p display, a 3600mAh battery inside and the Snapdragon 615. So it’s not a high-end device, but it’s great for those that want a long lasting battery, and don’t need the fastest smartphone in the world. Of course, there’s also the Moto G, which is a great decision for a new smartphone as well.
The Moto X Style should be popping up soon on Moto Maker as well. As the Moto X Style is the more high-end Moto X from Motorola this year. Coming in other materials as well. Including leather and wood backs. And if I’m honest, the red leather looks really nice in person. The Moto X Style will be heading to the US, but as the Moto X Pure Edition and will work on all four wireless carrier networks. The last rumor we saw pointed to a September 3rd release for the Moto X Style/Pure. So it looks like both devices are going to be shipping rather soon, and we couldn’t be more excited about that.
