Motorola's Moto X Pure/Style to be Available from Sep 3rd

Earlier this Summer, Motorola pulled the tigger on the announcements of their new Moto line of devices. We knew that a new Motorola Moto X was coming, just as they announced last year, but we were not expecting two devices quite as different as the Moto X Style/Pure and Moto X Play ended up being. For the majority of users however, the Moto X Pure (as the largest and most capable device is known in the US) is what they’re waiting for and now, we have a launch date. Motorola said that the Pure would be available start this Fall, but as they just announced on Twitter it’ll be September 3rd for the Moto X that can go anywhere.

The Moto X Style is called the Moto X Pure – somewhat confusingly – in the US because it doesn’t ask questions of which network you’re running on. It’ll work with AT&T, Verizon, T-Mobile or Sprint; all through one model. This is something of a big deal for the US market, and when it goes on sale starting September 3rd, we’re sure it’ll make a big impact. More than that however, is the price tag of the Moto X Pure, which will start at just $399.99. For a device with a 5.7-inch Quad HD display, a 3,000 mAh battery and a Snapdragon 808 this is a great price. Not to mention that this price includes all of the Moto Maker customizations that Motorola has become known for since the launch of the original Moto X a couple of years ago.

Two complaints with last year’s Moto X were that the camera wasn’t up to scratch and that battery life wasn’t good enough. With this new Moto X Pure, Motorola have included a 21-megapixel camera that DxOMark have ranked favorably and a much larger battery backed up by speedy Turbo Charging that Motorola say is quicker than anyone else out there. At 5.7-inches however, it might be too large a device for the majority of existing Motorola users, but those looking for something larger have an affordable and customizable option available to them. Including stock Android and speedy updates to boot.
