It has been 10 months since Google has released the Nexus 6 phablet, and we’ve been hearing rumors regarding the upcoming Nexus smartphones for quite some time now. Both LG and Huawei have been said to be working with Google on new Nexus devices. LG is reportedly developing a 5.2-inch model, and Huawei is working on a 5.7-inch phablet. That being said, a ton of leaked renders and video clips have already leaked regarding both of these devices, and a new Huawei one just surfaced, read on.
If you take a look at the video embedded below this article, you’ll get to see the allegedly upcoming Huawei Nexus. Keep in mind that the device showcased in this nice concept video is not actually new, this video is based on @OnLeaks’ recently leaked images of the device. This video actually does a great job of representing leaked material in a video format, and even the leaker himself tweeted it out. The Huawei Nexus will reportedly ship with a 5.7-inch display, a rear-facing fingerprint scanner, and will be made out of metal. The device will also feature two front-facing speakers, as you can see in the video, and a Type-C USB 3.0 port will be available on the bottom of the device.
The newest version of Android OS, Android 6.0 Marshmallow, will almost certainly debut on the upcoming Nexus device, so that’s something else that will be included in this package. The Huawei Nexus will reportedly measure 159.4 x 78.3 x 6.6/8.5mm, which actually means that it will be as tall as the Nexus 6, but both narrower and thinner. Why will it be this tall? Well, the front-facing speakers are probably to blame here. That’s pretty much all we know about this device, the Snapdragon 820 was rumored to be included here as well, but Qualcomm’s upcoming SoC will be available for mass production in Q1 2016, so it will hardly be available in either of the upcoming Nexus devices. Google is expected to release both of these devices in either September of October, so stay tuned for that, and keep your eyes opened for any additional info that might surface before these devices get launched.
