Motorola announced some new phones a couple of weeks ago and while we expected some accessories to be part of the show, as they had been leaked before, those were quietly announced shortly after. One particular accessory was on sale even before the event, but now the new Moto Hint is making an appearance in Motorola’s site, so those interested can know everything about it. Even better, if they decide to buy the accessory, they can do so right at a price of $129.99.
This Bluetooth headset offers more functionality in its super compact size and discrete design than those bulky earpieces of yore, which offered only basic calling functions. First of all, the company re-designed the ear-gels and four sizes are included, so one of them should fit better than before. When the Moto Hint is paired with a smartphone, it can give you actual answers to your voice commands, even when you’re unable to see the phone’s display it will give some voice feedback. The volume is said to be improved as it will filter background noise or wind, but if you actually want to hear the ambient sound from your surroundings, there’s a pass-through audio function.
Some accents of the Moto Hint can be chosen to better suit your personality or style, there are some options in canvas, wood or leather. The new charging case can now charge the earpiece up to four times so the battery could last for up to 17 hours of talk time. Some sensors in the earpiece can detect when it’s on your ear and automatically take calls right from the accessory and when you’re not wearing it, phone calls will be directed to the phone. While the Moto Hint is compatible with a wide range of phones thanks to the Bluetooth technology, it will work better when it gets paired with Motorola phones like the Moto X Pure Edition, as users will be able to use all the voice commands to makes calls, ask for directions or make posts on social networks. Plus, if it is programmed as a trusted device, it will keep the phone unlocked so the user doesn’t have to input a password every time.
