Oukitel is one of many Chinese smartphone OEMs who are trying to make a name for themselves out in the market. Much like Elephone, Ulefone, Mlais, etc., Oukitel is selling their devices via a number of China-based resellers. Those resellers ship devices worldwide, so Oukitel’s products aren’t exactly limited to China, which is a good thing, of course. We’ve been writing about a number of Oukitel’s products in the last couple of months, and have reviewed the company’s A28 smartwatch recently as well. Oukitel is working on a smartphone with a 10,000mAh battery which will arrive in the coming months, and they’ve recently released the Oukitel U10 smartphone.
The Oukitel U10 is a very well-specced handset which is made out of metal. This phone has been available for pre-order for quite some time now, and the company has announced that they’ve started shipping the devices to people who ordered them. The phones should arrive at your doorstep soon enough, presuming you ordered one, of course. The Oukitel U10 features a 5.5-inch 1080p (1920 x 1080) JDI display with a 2.5D curved glass up top. The device is powered by MediaTek’s MT6753 64-bit octa-core SoC, and a 2,850mAh battery is also a part of this package. The phone also ships with 3GB of RAM and 16GB of internal storage. This is a dual-SIM smartphone which offers 4G LTE connectivity, and even has a rear-facing fingerprint scanner. The 13-megapixel camera (16MP interpolated) is located on the back of this smartphone, and a 5-megapixel shooter can be found up front.
The Oukitel U10 actually comes in Black (Dark Grey) and Champagne color options, and the device is now available for purchase for around $160 at various Chinese resellers, like GearBest for example. If you’re interested in this smartphone, you can check out the promo video embedded down below, and also take a look at some Oukitel U10 images available in the gallery below. This is a very sleek-looking handset which is quite affordable as well. Either way, it’s certainly a very interesting smartphone. It will be interesting to see what else Oukitel has in store for us this year, stay tuned.
