It’s still a few days before IFA starts, but we’re getting all sorts of leaks from the devices that will make an appearance at the event. We don’t know much about the devices that will be introduced by Lenovo, particularly after some news indicating a change in the strategy regarding their mobile phones division, but there is one device that the company has been working on and might be ready to launch. The Lenovo VIBE P1 has been leaked on many occasions recently, we know some of its internal specs and the device has even been spotted in some real-life pictures.
Earlier today, it was reported that the phone will have an innovative cooling system consisting in a tube that has some liquid flowing through it and we already knew that one of the main features of the phone would be its extra-large battery with a 5,000 mAh capacity. Now, there is a new bunch of pictures of the handset in its gold color option. The overall design looks nice enough and it seems to be made of aluminum. The front features reduced bezels on the sides of the display, the bottom features one hardware Home button and two capacitive buttons which are inverted respect to the ones featured in stock Android. The bottom features some speaker grilles and the Micro USB port. The back houses the camera and the dual-LED flash module and there’s an NFC logo. On the right, there are the typical power and volume buttons and there’s a switch on the left, which might provide a similar functionality as on the OnePlus 2.
Some of the internals in the VIBE P1 include a 5.5-inch display with Full HD resolution, an octa-core Snapdragon 615 processor clocked at 1.5 GHz with 3 GB of RAM. The main camera has a resolution of 13-megapixels and the front-facing one is a 5-megapixel one. There are 16 GB of internal storage, which can be expanded with Micro SD cards. Support for 4G networks is expected and it is supposed to run Android 5.1 out of the box. These are some decent specs packed in a nicely-designed phone for those who want a good battery life.
