Report: Note 5 To Launch In India Soon; Europe Will Wait

Samsung has announced their Galaxy Note 5 phablet earlier this month. Unlike last year though, the company has announced another device alongside the Note 5, the Galaxy S6 Edge Plus, a phablet which is for all intents and purposes a bigger variant of the Galaxy S6 Edge which was announced back in March. Samsung was expected to showcase the Note 5 during IFA in Berlin, but the company has opted to announce it a bit sooner this year in order to avoid all the other OEMs at iFA, and of course Apple considering they’ll announce the next-gen iPhone in September as well.

That being said, Samsung took a different approach when it comes to launching the Note 5 this year. This company usually pushes this device to as many markets as possible, but this time around they said the phone won’t launch in Europe this year. A recent report claimed that Samsung changed their mind, and today we have some new info regarding all that. According to a report from SamMobile, the Note 5 won’t launch in Europe that soon, so it seems like we’re back to 2016 again. Samsung bases this report on the fact that the last available Note 5 firmware build for a European model they were able to track down (N920FXXE0AOFT) is from June. This seemingly suggests that the device won’t launch any time soon, but we’ll see.

The source has also provided some info regarding the Note 5’s availability in India as well. The N920GDDU1AOH2 model (H for August) has been spotted, and it seems like Samsung intends to launch the device in India soon. The company has already released the Galaxy S6 Edge Plus in both Europe and India, but Note 5 is still missing. Take all of this info with a grain of salt, as always, considering this is not official info at this moment. The whole Galaxy Note 5 release schedule Samsung is conducting this year is rather odd, more or less everyone has expected for the company to release the device basically everywhere as soon as possible, but for some reason Samsung decided to take a different approach this time around. Either way, we’ll let you know if any additional info regarding European and / or Indian Galaxy Note 5 phablet surfaces, stay tuned.
