Rumor: LG G4 Pro To Sport Dual Camera Setup, 5.8" Display

LG has announced their G4 flagship back in April this year. The LG G4 is a premium handset which resembles its predecessor, but it different in a number of ways. The G4 is currently available all over the world, but we’re not here to talk about that handset. I don’t know if you recall, but we’ve seen a number of LG G4 Pro rumors earlier this year, rumors that were stating that LG is working on an even higher-end device which will be announced before the end of 2015, and the company eventually confirmed that. Well, after weeks of silence, we finally have some new info regarding this device, read on.

Many of us thought this was going to be LG’s flagship phablet, and it seems like that will be the case. According to a report from Korea, the LG G4 Pro will feature a 5.8-inch IPS LCD display along with 4GB of DDR4 RAM on the inside. The resolution of this screen hasn’t been mentioned, but we’re guessing this will be a QHD display, especially considering its size. Interesting enough, the source also claims that this device will ship with a dual camera setup on the back. What about is processor? Well, the source says that the Snapdragon 820 probably won’t be fueling this device, and that’s quite probably true considering it won’t be available for mass production until Q1 2016. Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 810 might be included in this package though, or perhaps LG opts for the Snapdragon 808 once again, a chip that is powering the LG G4.

This phablet will most probably be made out of metal, or will at least sport a metallic frame. That’s more or less it as far as available info goes. We don’t’ know when exactly will this handset be announced, but LG did say that their ‘Hero’ device is launching in the second half o the year, so… who knows. Either way, stay tuned for additional info, we’ll report back if anything new pops up before LG launches this thing, and it quite probably will.
