Samsung’s Unpacked event is finally here and the Galaxy Note 5 was just announced alongside the Galaxy S6 Edge+, revealing to all just what Samsung has in store for consumers when the phone is ready to launch on August 21st. While these are still very much Samsung devices and some similarities will stick around, there are some notable improvements over the Galaxy Note 4 and Galaxy S6 Edge devices. For the Galaxy Note 5 the most notable is the design change. Samsung went a different route this time around and gave the Galaxy Note 5 an all glass and metal design just like with the Galaxy S6 and Galaxy S6 Edge, giving the phone a sleeker, more premium look and feel unlike any other Note device before it. For the Galaxy S6 Edge+, the biggest changes is the screen size, which is now 5.7-inches while still retaining Quad HD resolution. Both phones are also equipped with bigger screens while having smaller bodies.
Both phones are also sporting Samsung’s 64-bit octa-core Exynos 7420 CPU so they should have plenty of power. They’re also 4G LTE compatible which isn’t much of a surprise as many top-tier and even some mid-range and low-end phones are these days. Both phones carry 4GB of RAM which should make the Galaxy Note 5 and the Galaxy S6 Edge+ a multitasking powerhouse for those that need it. Part of the enjoyment when companies like Samsung release a new device is getting to see all of the new promotional videos for them, so where we’ve rounded up a collection of the different videos Samsung has put out so far for the new Galaxy Note 5 as well as the Galaxy S6 Edge+. For now this only includes the introduction videos for each phone as Samsung hasn’t released any other promo videos just yet.
