Last week saw Samsung release two new smartphones to the market. The first, which is typical of this time of year (albeit slightly early) was the Samsung Galaxy Note 5 and the second was the Galaxy S6 Edge+. The latter of these is a larger version of the Galaxy S6 Edge which was first unveiled back in March of this year at MWC. While most of the specs of the two devices are generally the same, they do have some immediate and obvious differences. For instance, the Galaxy Note 5 comes equipped with the traditional S Pen, while the Galaxy S6 Edge+ comes equipped with those twin alluring curved edges.
There was also one more notable difference between the two which become clear when Samsung launched the devices and this was that the Galaxy Note 5 was not destined for Europe. At least not in the foreseeable future. As such, if you are in Europe and are looking for the latest device from Samsung, then for now, the Galaxy S6 Edge+ is the only option you have. The good is news is though, that it seems pre-orders have now opened for the Galaxy S6 Edge+ for those living in the UK.
For those interested, the 32GB will currently set UK residents back a cool £749. If you are after the bigger size variant, then the 64GB version of the Galaxy S6 Edge+ is currently available to pre-order for £829. Both are listed by Samsung to begin shipping from September 3rd and both size variants are available to order in either Black Sapphire or Gold Platinum colors. If you need a reminder of the specs, then the Galaxy S6 Edge+ comes with a 5.7-inch display with a 2560 x 1440 resolution. Inside, the S6 Edge+ is equipped with 4GB RAM and powered by a Samsung Exynos 7420 processor. There is a 16-megapixel camera on the back which is coupled with a 5-megapixel front facing camera. Everything is powered by a 3,000 mAh battery and the device comes running on Android 5.1.1.
