Some of the first leaks of the newly announced Galaxy Note 5 were taken from some renders that Samsung sent to case and accessory makers so that they could have their products when the new phablet arrived. Some official accessories from Samsung are expected, some of them in partnership with other designers or artists and the keynote only showed one of them with an integrated keyboard, but third-party cases provide a wide variety of colors, materials and textures. It is an expensive phone and its design based on metal and glass makes it look premium but also kind of fragile, so users might want to consider protecting it with a case.
Now, Trident Case is announcing its first case for Samsung’s newest phablet. It belongs to its flagship Aegis series and the Aegis Pro for the Galaxy Note 5 offers a stylish case to protect the phone with the company’s sliding technology that covers the phone entirely as it snaps into the front of the case and slide the back, keeping the phone completely secured while simplifying its installation. The case is made from fused Polycarbonate and Thermo Plastic Elastomer (TPE) and it provides protection against vibrations, dust, rain and accidental drops as it has the military grade Mil-STD-810G certification. Still, it’s an eco-friendly option as the case is built using bio-enhanced plastic that is degradable, compostable and recyclable.
It also includes some TPE plugs for the charging port and the headphone jack that along the waterproof mesh filters help the interior of the phone to be protected from dust, dirt or moisture. To keep the screen scratch-free it includes a self-applicable screen protector. Since the case is tailor-made for the Galaxy Note 5 it has some patented technology that redirects the sound from the speaker to the front, enhancing the acoustic experience from music, movies or while gaming. It also has a special compartment for the S-Pen so the two components are never too far from each other. The case is also compatible with some screen protectors from the company such as the Tempered Glass or Privacy Glass that belong to the Athena Series. The case will be available in black, blue and pink color options and it’s priced at $34.99, it can be purchased from the maker’s site and it will be delivered at the end of August.
