Video: Unboxing the Oukitel U10

Oukitel is a Chinese brand that, like some other Chinese manufacturers out there, specializes in making quality phones for less.  This mantra is certainly nothing new, especially in the world of Chinese phones, so what exactly does Oukitel do that’s different from the other OEMs out there?  We’ll definitely take a look and see with their latest phone, the Oukitel U10, which recently started shipping to early adopters for a mere $160 and features an incredible full-metal build all the way around.  While those folks likely have the phone in their hands right now, there are likely plenty of other people out there waiting to find out just what makes this one different from the rest of the pack in this price range.

While we won’t have a verdict on whether or not you should buy the Oukitel U10 just yet, we can definitely show you what’s in the box as well as give you a brief overview of what you can expect the phone itself to do.  The Oukitel U10 features a 5.5-inch 1080p screen with HotKnot sharing support built into the display for easy local sharing.  The processor that powers the experience is none other than the newest MediaTek MT6753 Octa-core running at 1.3GHz, as well as 3GB of RAM for a great multi-tasking experience.  16GB of storage is built into the phone and there’s even a microSD card slot for expandable storage.  A 13-megapixel camera sits on the back and 5MP on the front, while a 2,850mAh battery keeps power going.  Check out the unboxing and first impressions video below!
