Check Out The First Xiaomi Mi 4c Drop Test

After weeks of teasers and rumors, Xiaomi has finally announced their Mi 4c handset a couple of days ago. This smartphone is quite similar to the Xiaomi Mi 4i smartphone which was announced earlier this year, at least as far as its design goes, the device’s internals are completely different. The Mi 4c actually packs in a quite powerful hardware. The phone was released in both 2 and 3GB variants, and they cost $204 and $235, respectively. That being said, the Xiaomi Mi 4c undergo a drop test in China, and if you’re curious to see how that went, read on.

The Xiaomi Mi 4c drop test video popped up on Chinese video network Youku, and the clip is embedded down below. Now, the phone was actually dropped on its face twice in this video, first from 1m of height, and then from 1.5 meters. The video contains English subtitles, which is a plus here considering you can understand what the video is about (presuming you don’t know Chinese). Now, let’s take a quick look at Xiaomi Mi 4c’s specs, shall we. The phone sports a 5-inch fullHD (1920 x 1080) display, 2/3GB of RAM and 16/32GB of internal storage. The 2GB variant comes with 16GB of native storage, while the 3GB model ships with 32GB of storage. This device is powered by the Snapdragon 808 64-bit hexa-core processor, and a 13-megapixel camera is located on its back. The 3,080mAh battery is also a part of this package, and Xiaomi Mi 4c does offer 4G LTE connectivity as well. This is a dual-SIM device which ships with Android 5.1 Lollipop out of the box. Speaking of software, Xiaomi has also pre-installed their Android-based OS here, the MIUI 7. As part of the software offering, Xiaomi Mi 4c does support double tap to wake gesture, while it also has some neat edge gestures. You can basically tap on the phone’s sides to activate certain actions on the phone, such as taking a photo for example.
