Tons of Nexus rumors floating around today, and the latest is coming from a user over on Reddit, who has posted an informational sheet for the Nexus 5X. This looks a lot like a Reviewer’s Guide that Google will likely give out with the Nexus 5X tomorrow to those who are in attendance at the event in San Francisco. It talks about simplified security, with the fingerprint sensor being on the back, also talking about having the latest and greatest, since it is indeed running Android 6.0 Marshmallow. But we also have a ton of specs here, all of the nitty gritty. So let’s look them over real quick.
As expected, it’s running Android 6.0 Marshmallow. It has a 5.2-inch 1920×1080 resolution LCD display. This gives it a PPI of 424. LG is also using Corning Gorilla Glass 3, and it’s fingerprint-resistant as well as smudge-resistant using the oleophobic coating, which we saw on the ZTE Axon Pro earlier this year. The Nexus 5X is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 808 processor, which is a 2GHz hexa-core 64-bit chip. It’s paired with the Adreno 408 GPU. We also have 2GB of LPDDR3 RAM with either 16GB or 32GB of storage inside. The dimensions here are 147.0 x 72.6 x 7.9mm and weighs in at about 136 grams. For the cameras here, we are looking at a 12.3MP rear-facing camera, which is a 1.55 micron pixels, f/2.0 aperture, IR laser-assisted auto-focus, it will also record in 4K and have dual flash. As for the front camera, we have a 5MP sensor with a f/2.2 aperture.
As for the sensors, we have a fingerprint sensor on the back, Sensor Hub, Accelerometer, Gyroscope, Barometer, Proximity Sensor, Ambient light sensor, Hall Sensor, and Android Context Hub. There is also a USB Type-C port on the Nexus 5X, along with a 3.5mm headphone jack and we’re looking at a single SIM device here, and it’s a nano SIM this time around.
One thing that is missing here is the battery size. Although this doc does say that the Nexus 5X will sport an “All day battery”. We’ll find out more when we get one in hand, obviously.
