E Fun has been making quite the name for themselves in the tablet market. Although, their offerings do not come with a bleeding edge level of specs or features, what they do offer is reliable tablets at affordable prices. Now, adding to their already extensive lineup the company has announced the launch of two more tablets. The main difference between the two is in terms of screen size with the smaller tablet, the Nextbook Ares 8L, adopting an 8-inch display and the Nextbook Ares 10L adopting a 10-inch display. It is also worth noting the Ares 10L actually comes with a detachable keyboard cover unlike the smaller 8-inch version.
That said, the two tablets do have one notable difference between them and the rest of the E Fun line up and that is that they are the first E Fun tablets to come equipped with support for 4G LTE baked in. The tablets are currently compatible with Verizon’s LTE network and look to offer customers the use of a 4G enabled device which again, is set at an affordable price. In fact, the Ares 8L is the LTE variant of the Ares 8 which was released by E Fun back in June. The Ares 8L is available to buy for $144 while the larger Ares 10L will set you back $193. Alternatively, as these are 4G enabled devices, you can pick them up on a contract. Down this route, the Ares 8L will cost 4.88 per month over two years while the Ares 10L will cost $9.88 over two years.
In terms of the specs, much of what is on offer is the same for both the Ares 8L and the Ares 10L. Besides the obvious difference in screen size, both displays come sporting a 1280 x 800 resolution. Moving to the inside and both come equipped with 1GB RAM and powered by an Intel Atom Quad-core processor. Storage for both is set at 16GB as standard and both come equipped with a microSD for further expansion when needed (up to 64GB). Additional features common to both include Bluetooth 4.0, Wi-Fi And both come running on Android 5.0 (Lollipop) out of the box.
