European Xperia Z5 Compact Pre-Orders Come With Free Headphones

This year has been a year of divided opinions when it comes to certain smartphone manufacturers. While some manufacturers have received praise for their latest offerings, companies like HTC and Sony have seen degrees of criticism coming through for their 2015 released flagship devices, the HTC One M9 and Sony Xperia Z4 (or Z3+). So much in fact, that as soon both the HTC and Sony devices were announced, the attention moved swiftly to their follow up devices. In terms of HTC, this is expected to be unveiled later this month while in terms of Sony, the company announced and unveiled the Sony Xperia Z5 at IFA this year. In fact, as well as the Z5, Sony also unveiled the more compact version in the form of the Sony Xperia Z5 Compact.

While Sony may be receiving criticisms for their mobile offerings, it does seem that their audio department continues to be doing well and it looks like Sony are hoping the latter can boost sales of the former. At least in some European countries, as reports are coming in that residents in Denmark, Norway, Finland and Sweden are being offered a pair of Sony MDR-10RC Headphones for free when they pre-order the Sony Xperia Z5 Compact. As these are a pair of headphones which retail for $129.99, this certainly ups the ante of the typical earphones that manufacturers used to throw in the box with a smartphone and does make the purchase of the Xperia Z5 Compact (or any smartphone for that matter, a more interesting proposition).

In terms of the actual deal, as noted, it only currently seems to be available for the four countries mentioned. There are no indications as to whether this will become available elsewhere and the deal is live from today and continues through until October 4th for Finland, Norway and Sweden, while it seems the deal is only live until September 24th in Denmark. Either way, if you are in one of these countries and was thinking about picking up the Xperia Z5 Compact anyway, then now might be a good time to pre-order and bag a free pair of Sony Headphones.
