Hands-On With HiSense C1 And C20 (King Kong 2) Handsets

HiSense is a China-based smartphone manufacturer which some of you have probably heard about already. This company is, as are many other, currently attending IFA in Berlin. We’ve already seen a ton of great products being released / showcased by various OEMs, and the fun is still not over. We’re here to take a look at two smartphones HiSense decided to show off to IFA attendees, the HiSense C1 and C20 (King Kong 2) devices, read on.

We’ve managed to get some hands-on time with both of these devices, and if you take a look below this article, you’ll notice two separate galleries showcasing both of them. The two phones sport interesting designs, and the edges are chamfered on both of them. They’re nothing groundbreaking as far as design goes, but the design is quite alright. As it’s usually the case, it all depends on what you prefer. That being said, let’s take a look at the specs of these two phones, shall we.

The HiSense C1 features a 5.5-inch 720p (1280 x 720) AMOLED display along with 2GB of RAM and 16GB of internal storage. The device is powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 615 64-bit octa-core processor, and a 2,500mAh battery is also a part of this package. The 13-megapixel camera is available on the back of this phone, and you’ll find a 5-megapixel snapper up front. The device measures 154.55 x 75 x 5.43mm, and offers Quick Charge 2.0 capability.

As far as King Kong 2 is concerned, or HiSense C20, as it’s also called, it’s a slightly less powerful variant of the C1. The King Kong 2 features a 5-inch 720p (1280 x 720) IPS display, 2GB of RAM and 16GB of internal storage. This handset is powered by the Snapdragon 410 64-bit quad-core SoC, and it ships with a 3,000mAh battery. The sensors are the same as on the C1, it sports 13 and 5-megapixel shooters, and is IP 67 water and dust proof. This handset measures 144 x 72.1 x 8.6mm.
