Huawei Nexus 6P Specifications

Google’s LG and Huawei Nexus device details have been surfacing all over the web for a long time now. We’ve managed to find out quite a few details when it comes to both of these devices weeks before Google decided to unveil them, which happened quite recently by the way. We’ve already covered the initial announcements of both of these phones, and are here to take a closer look at Huawei Nexus 6P‘s specifications, read on.

The Huawei Nexus 6P is more powerful in terms of specs compared to the LG Nexus 5X. This smartphone sports a 5.7-inch QHD (2560 x 1440, 515 ppi) AMOLED display with Corning’s Gorilla Glass 3 on top of it, 3GB of RAM and 32/64/128GB of non-expandable internal storage. The Nexus 6P has a 74% screen-to-body ration, in case you were wondering. The device is powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 810 (v2.1) 64-bit octa-core processor along with an Adreno 430 GPU for graphics. The 12.3-megapixel shooter (Sony’s IMX377 sensor, 1.55um pixel size, f/2.0 aperture) is available on the back of this phone, and is flanked by a dual-LED, dal tone flash. The 8-megapixel snapper (f/2.4 aperture) has been included on the front side of this phone, and a 3,450mAh battery is included on the inside as well.

Huawei’s Nexus 6P sports two front-facing stereo speakers, and is made out of anodized aluminum. The Type-C USB 3.0 port is available on the bottom of the phone, and a fingerprint scanner (called ‘Nexus Imprint’) is located on the back of this phone, and can recognize a fingerprint in less than 600ms. The Huawei Nexus 6P does offer 4G LTE connectivity, and it also features a rather interesting design, especially if you take a look at its back side. The Android 6.0 Marshmallow comes pre-installed here, which makes this phone, along with the LG Nexus 5X, the first device to ship with Google’s newest version of Android out of the box. We’ve talked about Android 6.0 Marshmallow many times before, and if you’d like to know more, visit our Android 6.0 Marshmallow page.

The power/lock and volume rocker buttons are located on the right-hand side of the Huawei Nexus 6P, and due to the front-facing speakers, the device does seem somewhat narrow and tall. This smartphone measures 159.3 x 76.2 x 7.3mm, while it weighs 178 grams. The Huawei Nexus 6P will be available in Aluminum, Graphite, Frost color options, the latter one will be available in Japan only at launch. The 32, 64 and 128GB variants of the device are priced at $499, $549 and $649 in the US, respectively. The pricing will vary in other markets though, so keep that in mind.
