Huawei Nexus To Sport A 5.5" Display, According To Zauba

Google’s upcoming Nexus device have been leaking all over the internet lately. We’ve seen tons of Nexus leaks in the last couple of weeks. As you all probably know by now, LG is said to manufacture the smaller variant of the upcoming Nexus, and Huawei is working on a bigger model. LG has once again leaked yesterday, its back cover that is, and now we have some new info when it comes to the Huawei Nexus. The device has popped up on Zauba, India’s import / export website, and by doing that shared some info with us, read on.

Now, pretty much every Huawei Nexus spec leak we’ve seen has said that the device will sport a 5.7-inch display, well, that might not be the case if Zauba’s listing is to be believed. According to the newly leaked info, the Huawei Nexus will sport a 5.5-inch display. This is actually not the first time we get to see ‘Angler’ (Huawei Nexus’ codename) listed on Zauba, previous listings have revealed that the device will sport 3GB of RAM and 32GB of internal storage (Samsung eMMC) and 4G LTE connectivity. Every ‘Angler’ unit imported into India for testing is priced at $645, though keep in mind this is definitely not the final pricing for the device, this is only a prototype.

The question remains, will the Huawei Nexus sport a 5.5-inch or a 5.7-inch display in the end? Well, if a recent leak is accurate, Google will introduce both the LG and Huawei Nexus device at a September 29th event, so we’ll find out then. What about the rest of Huawei Nexus specs? Well, the device is also rumored to sport a Type-C USB 3.0 port on the bottom, and two front-facing stereo speakers, just like the LG Nexus. The fingerprint scanner will be located on the back of this smartphone, and the phone will be made out of metal it seems.

As far as the design is concerned, well, Huawei Nexus will certainly look different than any of the previous Nexus device, if the leaks are accurate. It will sport a hump on the back, in the upper area. The whole strip up top, which includes a camera and the LED flash, will protrude a bit, which might seem odd to some of you. Keep in mind that none of this is final, these are only leaks thus far, we’ll have to wait for Google to officially introduce this smartphone in order to see what’s real and what isn’t.
