LG has recently announced the LG Class smartphone in South Korea, a device which will allegedly arrive to AT&T. That is a mid-range device made out of metal, and definitely not the premium smartphone LG has been touting for quite some time now. This Korea-based smartphone OEM is expected to announce a true premium offering during their press conference on October 1st, and we’ve seen two LG-branded devices leak recently, well, it’s possible those are the same devices which are being called differently.
The devices in question are LG G4 Pro and the LG V10. The LG G4 Pro has been leaking for a long time now, and it’s expected to be a bigger variant of the LG G4, and also a higher-end smartphone. The LG V10, on the other hand, is a mysterious LG-branded device with an auxiliary ticker display above its normal panel up front. We’ve already seen the V10 leak, and it sure seems like an interesting concept. That being said, the LG G4 Pro (H900) phablet has surfaced on GFXBench and revealed its specifications. It looks more and more likely that LG plans to announce two devices after all, but might even hold two separate events for them, either way, we’ll find out soon. That being said, let’s take a look at G4 Pro’s leaked specs, shall we.
According to GFXBench, the LG G4 Pro will feature a 5.7-inch QHD (2560 x 1440) display along with 4GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage. The device will be powered by the Snapdragon 808 64-bit hexa-core processor along with an Adreno 418 GPU for graphics. The 16-megapixel camera will be available on the back of the G4 Pro, and a 5-megapixel shooter will be located up front. The dual-LED, dual tone flash will also be placed on the back of this phone, and Android 5.1.1 Lollipop will come pre-installed on this device with LG’s custom UI installed on top of Google’s operating system.
That’s more or less it. If we had to take a guess, we’d say that LG plans to unveil the G4 Pro at the October 1st event, and that the V10 handset will launch later on. It is highly unlikely we’re looking at the same device here, V10 will probably be a new line of smartphones for the company. That’s only a guess though, we’ll have to wait and see what happens, stay tuned.
