Customization is one of the biggest benefits of Android, as it lets users truly personalize their smartphones and mobile devices to be tailored to their personal tastes and personality. There are literally tons of ways to customize an Android device with homescreen launchers being one of the most robust, and LINE, the popular messaging app, just announced and cut loose their own Android homescreen launcher called LINE Launcher today. Much like other homescreen launchers LINE Launcher allows users to customize various aspects of the homescreen from icons to widgets to create a completely personalized and custom skinned look different from any other device.
The launcher lets you choose from a collection of different themes to apply to the homescreen of the device, but also adds the ability to customize with “standard widgets” like a battery meter, a memory booster, and more. Themes virtually contain everything a user could want, including icon packs and matching wallpapers, and a few of LINE’s chosen widgets to boot. If you’ve been in love with LINE’s cutesy characters like Cony and Brown from the moment you laid eyes on them, this is probably the perfect launcher for you. LINE Launcher also boasts a wide array of different themes to choose from with over 3,000 of them being free so there’s certainly no shortage of options here.
While LINE is trying expand and branch out into the customization app market, they’re also aiming to offer users a little bit of convenience by wrapping up a bunch of different apps into one comprehensive package. Icons, wallpapers, widgets, themes, and more are all available as part of the LINE Launcher set which should make this more appealing. Users will find other things at hand here as well, like a built-in search engine and an app update notifier. There’s also a “shuffle” feature of the wallpaper functionality that suggests new wallpapers to the user on a daily basis to keep things fresh. The app should already be live in the Play Store, and it supports a range of different languages including English, Japanese, Arabic, French, Czech, Dutch, Brazilian, Russian, Spanish, Turkish and more.
