Ramos is one of many China-based smartphone OEMs that most of you haven’t heard of until now, or at least are not very familiar with. This is not exactly a huge company, but they do tend to release an interesting device from time to time (mostly tablet devices though). The company has unveiled their Ramos Mos1 (first) smartphone back in July, a device which wasn’t particularly high-end, nor did it sport an out of the box design. That being said, the company seems to be getting ready to release a new variant of this device which will possibly sport a higher-end specs and a really huge battery on the inside.
The company has released a ‘Mos1 Max’ teaser on their official Weibo account recently. The teaser says this phone will pack in a 6xxxmAh battery, which means that the device will pack a battery in the 6,000-6,999mAh range, but quite probably a 6,000mAh unit. Now, the company doesn’t exactly speak of this device’s specifications here, but I guess we can expect the phone to sport a slightly upgraded specs, though that’s just a guess on our part.
Anyhow, this device is expected to launch next month, but we’ll probably see more leaks before that happens. As a reminder, the Mos1 sports a 5.5-inch 1080p (1920 x 1080) display, 2GB of RAM and 32GB of native storage. That handset is powered by the Snapdragon 615 64-bit octa-core SoC, and packs in a 3,050mAh battery, which means the Mos1 Max will at least double the battery unit that can be found in the original. The Mos1 offers Qualcomm’s Quick Charge 2.0 fast charging tech as well, and the Mos1 Max will almost certainly offer this very same capability once it gets released, which is very important having in mind this is a huge battery we’re looking at here.
There’s still no work on the design of the Mos1 Max, but it’s safe to assume that these two devices will be very similar in that regard. All we can do at this point is wait and see what will Ramos announce in the end. Stay tuned, we’ll report back as soon as new info pops up.
