Letv is one of the most interesting China-based smartphone manufacturers out there. This company has entered the smartphone world when they introduced their first three devices back in April. The company has unveiled Le 1, Le 1 Pro and Le Max smartphones and a phablet back then, and managed to attract attention to themselves. All of these devices are well-specced and sport a rather sleek design overall, and it also seems like sales are going pretty well for the company as well. As a side note, Letv is a well-known brand in China, and dabbles in pretty much everything tech-related.
That being said, the company has already teased their upcoming Snapdragon 820-powered device, but they didn’t exactly share any additional info when it comes to this phone / phablet. We’ve seen some Le Max 2 and X Pro leaks thus far, and we’re here to talk about a new one which surfaced in China. Now, this leak is really out there, and before we begin, make sure to take this info with a grain of salt, because the specs might be over the top, but you never know what to expect from Letv.
Anyhow, according to the new leak, the Letv Le Max 2 will be powered by the Snapdragon 820 SoC, and will sport a 5.7-inch QHD (2560 x 1440) display. Now, the phone will reportedly going to pack in 6GB of RAM (Samsung’s newly released chip), which sounds crazy, but could happen, at least in theory. It is highly unlikely Letv will get the opportunity to use Samsung’s new chips, as they’re likely to debut with the Galaxy S7 which will probably see the light of day in February or March next year. Anyhow, the leak also says that the Le Max 2 will sport a 23-megapixel rear-facing camera (IMX300 sensor, f/2.0 aperture, 0.1sec fast focus). The phone will also, allegedly, sport glass on both its front and back, and its bezels are expected to be even thinner than last time.
The leak also mentions that the phone will launch before the end of the year, which seems a bit odd considering the fact Snapdragon 820 SoCs won’t be ready until Q1 2016. Well, perhaps Letv plans to announce this device before the end of the year, and start selling it in January or something like that. Either way, these specs sounds amazing, and it will be interesting to see how accurate this info is, stay tuned.
