Samsung is no stranger to releasing a bunch of devices each year and while the Galaxy Note 5 and Galaxy S6 Edge are the ones currently stealing all the limelight, they are not the only devices to be expected soon. It has long been rumored that Samsung is working on a massive 18.4-inch tablet and there are also a couple of “On” smartphones that are expected to arrive. These are more commonly now known as the Samsung Galaxy Mega On and the Galaxy Grand On. In fact of the two, the Galaxy Mega On has been noted over the last few weeks passing through various places. It all started with the Mega On being spotted on AnTuTu and then also being spotted being imported into India for testing. Well, it now looks like the Galaxy Mega On has also hit GeekBench as well.
Over the last few weeks, there has been a bit of a debate over the model number for the Galaxy Mega On. When it was first seen, it came with the SM-600 model number. Although, the more recent AnTuTu results seem to show the Mega On with the SM-6000 model number. In terms of today’s spotting, the latest GeekBench results seem to be in line with the recent AnTuTu ones and are once again highlighting the SM-6000 model number.
As well as the model number, the GeekBench listing also reconfirms a few of the specs that have been noted in previous reports. Of those now reconfirmed, the Galaxy Mega On will come with 1GB RAM and does seem to be powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 410 Octa-core processor (clocking at 1.4 GHz). Not to mention, the system will come running on Android 5.1.1 out of the box. Although unconfirmed through today’s Geekbench results, previous rumors have suggested the Mega On sports a 5.5-inch display with a 720p resolution. Cameras on offer are said to consist of a 13-megapixel rear camera which is coupled with a 5-megapixel front facing camera. It has also been suggested a 3000 mAh battery can be expected too while internal storage is likely to be set at 8GB.
