The new Sony Xperia Z5 series launched at IFA Berlin created quite a buzz among smartphone-photography enthusiasts and customers alike. Sony has created real flagship devices with the Z5 series, comprising of the Sony Xperia Z5, Xperia Z5 Compact and Xperia Z5 premium, the top of the line phone. All of them are made out of the same material but are of different sizes and specification. The new Sony Xperia Z5 series is finally available at Singapore for pre-orders at their official site Sony Singapore.
All the three devices, Xperia Z5, Xperia Z5 Compact and Xperia Z5 Premium, are available for pre-order. The website is promoting the offer from September 24th through October 11th although no details of pricing have yet been revealed. Sony did include a notice about the freebies included with the pre-order of one of the three Z series phones, which amount up to a good $70. They include a free micro USB charging dock, priced at $58. In addition to this, customers who preorder will also be able to buy high-resolution audio headset at a reduced price of $49. The original price of the headset stands at SRP 149, and according to the site, the headset is MDR-NC750.
Sony is advertising a slew of features integrated into the new Xperia Z line-up in the promotional preorder. This promo includes the 23 MP camera with ultra-auto focus at a speed of 0.03 seconds. Also featured is battery life, which is touted to run at least two days on a single charge, according to Sony. The Japanese company is famous for the implementation of Stamina Mode and improvements in battery life over the years, and this claim is not an empty one. The fingerprint scanner and capless USB port also get a part of the spotlight, with the fingerprint scanner located on the side, pushing the power button and the volume rocker further below. Also touted is the dust and water-resistant IP65/68 rating, a common among Sony flagships since quite some time.
All the three flagship smartphones retain the signature OmniBalance design, making it hard to miss among all the other flagship releases throughout the year. The cutting edge camera technology with the 4K screen on the Xperia Z5 Premium sets this range of devices apart from all other devices in the same price range. All the three devices come with Android 5.1 inbuilt and is hopefully in-line for an Android M update pretty soon. These devices are already available to UK retailer Clove, along with some exciting freebies thrown into the pack as well.
