At IFA today, Sony unveiled the latest Xperia devices including the Xperia Z5 and Z5 Compact. That said, the device stealing the headlines so far is the Premium variant. Although, most of the specs fall somewhat in line with the other devices, the Xperia Z5 premium comes touting an impressive 4K resolution display. Here is a quick look at the Z5 Premium Specs.
In terms of the most impressive aspect, the Xperia Z5 Premium comes touting a 5.5-inch 4K Triluminos Display. This equates to a 3840 x 2160 resolution and an equally big 806 ppi. Inside, the Xperia Z5 Premium comes equipped with 3GB RAM and is underlined powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 810 64-bit octa-core processor. While the Z5 Premium is only available with a 32 GB internal storage level, it does come with microSD card port which can offer expansion up to 200 GB. The camera on the back of the Xperia Z5 Premium is a 23-megapixel camera with an Exmor sensor and offers additional camera features including Hybrid Autofocus, 5 x Clear Image Zoom, SteadyShot, Intelligent Active Mode and 4K video recording. On the front of the device is the same 5-megapixel front facing camera as the other Xperia Z5 models. The selfie option comes touting a 25 mm wide-angle lens and offers 1080p recording. The battery on the Z5 premium is the biggest of the Z5 range and comes in at 3,430 mAh. That said, with the 4K display, the battery is only rated to offer an at most 2-day usage. Although, Quick Charge technology is in play for a speedier charging. Additional features on offer, include a dual-SIM variant, waterproof and dust resistance (IP65/68 rated). The Xperia Z5 Premium comes running on Android 5.1 out of the box. The Xperia X5 Premium will be compatible with GSM GPRS, 3G, 4G LTE and 4G LTE Cat 6. While connectivity comes in the form of GPS, Bluetooth 4.1, Wi-Fi and NFC.
Moving to the physical aspects and the Xperia Z5 Premium measures 154.4 x 76.0 x 7.8 mm and weighs 180 grams. In terms of availability, Sony has confirmed the Z5 Premium will become available starting from November and will be available in black, chrome and gold color variants.
