The upcoming Nexus devices have been leaking all over the internet for weeks now. Both LG and Huawei-made Nexus handsets have been surfacing for a while now, and it seems like most of those leaks are legit. LG is reportedly developing a smaller, 5.2-inch Nexus smartphone, while Huawei is working on a bigger, 5.7 or 5.8-inch phablet. That being said, the LG Nexus has also been called LG Nexus 5 (2015) and LG Nexus 5X. The last couple of rumors suggested that Google will opt for the latter naming, and the newly leaked material we’re here to talk about says the same, read on.
Two new images surfaced in Korea, showcasing the alleged LG Nexus 5 from both front and back. The source says that this is the ‘mint’ version of the handset, considering its back seems to be colored that way, but keep in mind that poor lighting and / or camera could be the causing this, so we might be looking at a white variant of the phone after all. The source also mentions that this phone will launch on September 29th, as previous leaks have mentioned. Google is expected to unveil both the LG and Huawei Nexus phones at said date, so mark it in your calendar and let’s see what Google has to offer.
As you’ve probably already noticed, these images go hand-in-hand with the previous material we’ve seen. The phone will sport two front-facing stereo speakers it seems, but unfortunately we don’t get to see the whole back side of the phone in order to check if the camera, fingerprint scanner and laser autofocus are present here. The LG Nexus 5X is said to sport a 5.2-inch display along with 3 or 4GB of RAM and various internal storage options. The 13-megapixel camera (Sony’s IMX278 sensor) will reportedly going to be available on the back of this phone, and Android 6.0 Marshmallow will come pre-installed on this smartphone. The battery filling info also revealed that the phone will ship with a 2,700mAh unit on the inside, presuming the leak was legit, of course.
That’s more or less it, we know more or less everything there is to know about the LG Nexus 5X, or at least we think we do. Either way, everything will be revealed at the end of this month, until then, stay tuned for additional info.
