Xiaomi Mi 4c was announced earlier this month alongside the new version of Xiaomi’s Android-based OS, MIUI 7. The Mi 4c smartphone was leaking for weeks before this launch occurred, and it turns out this is a really well-specced, capable smartphone which is also very affordable. The Xiaomi Mi 4c is a higher-end variant of the Mi 4i smartphone which was announced earlier this year. The two devices are almost identical in terms of the design, but the Mi 4c packs in a far more capable set of internals. This is the first Xiaomi Mi 4c teardown we’ve stumbled upon, and it comes straight from IT168, a site which usually disassembles Chinese smartphones first. If you take a look at the gallery down below, you’ll notice a number of teardown images which should give you a better look at what exactly lays on the inside of the Mi 4c. The source noted that the Mi 4c was fairly easy to disassemble, which are good news considering it shouldn’t be that difficult to repair if it comes to that. Every listed spec by the company is included on the inside, there are no surprises.
Speaking of specs, let’s take a look at them, shall we. The Mi 4c sports a 5-inch 1080p (1920 x 1080) IPS LCD display along with 2/3GB of RAM and 16/32GB of native storage. The 2GB RAM variant of this phone ships with 16GB of internal storage. while the higher-end model comes with 32GB of storage. The microSD card expansion is not available here, so keep that in mind when choosing which variant to purchase. The Mi 4c is powered by the Snapdragon 808 64-bit hexa-core processor along with an Adreno 418 GPU for graphics. The 13-megapixel shooter is available on the back of this device, and a 5-megapixel snapper is located on the phone’s front side. The 3,080mAh battery comes pre-installed on this phone, and you also get dual-SIM and 4G LTE connectivity here. Android 5.1.1 Lollipop comes pre-installed on the Mi 4c, and the company’s MIUI 7 OS is placed on top of Google’s operating system. The Mi 4c measures 138.1 x 69.6 x 7.8mm, while it weighs 132 grams.
