Xiaomi Mi 4C To Launch On September 22nd?

Xiaomi Mi 4i is one of the more successful Xiaomi-branded devices this year. This mid-range smartphone sports really solid build, and is really affordable. The Mi 4i is also the first Xiaomi-branded smartphone to have launched outside of China first, as it was announced by Xiaomi in India earlier this year. The device did reach other areas soon after that though, and it seems like its more powerful sibling is going to launch soon as well. We’ve seen the Xiaomi Mi 4C listed on TENAA (China’s equivalent to the FCC), and a couple of rumors also surfaced recently, one of which stated that the device will arrive in two variants.

The main difference between the Mi 4i and Mi 4C will be the processor which powers this device, the Mi 4i is fueled by the Snapdragon 615 64-bit octa-core SoC, and the Mi 4C will be powered by a more powerful Snapdragon 808 64-bit hexa-core processor. That being said, a new rumor surfaced today stating that the Mi 4C will launch on September 22nd. This is still not official info though, so take this info with a grain of salt, as it usually goes with rumors.

So, the Xiaomi Mi 4C will feature a 5-inch 1080p (1920 x 1080) Sharp / JDI display along with 2/3GB of RAM and 16/32GB of internal storage (two variants will reportedly going to be available). Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 808 64-bit hexa-core processor will fuel this smartphone, and a 13-megapixel shooter will be available on the back of this phone. The device will also offer a 5-megapixel front-facing camera, and 4G LTE connectivity. Android 5.1 Lollipop will come out of the box here with Xiaomi’s MIUI 7 OS installed on top of Google’s operating system. The device will basically look identical to the Mi 4i, at least according to every single leak we’ve seen thus far. The Mi 4C will be a significantly more powerful variant of the Mi 4i though, especially the 3GB model. We don’t know how much this handset(s) will cost yet, but that info might leak prior to the announcement as well. Either way, stay tuned for more info.
