Xiaomi Mi 4C Pops Up At TENAA, Snapdragon 808 In Tow

As most of you probably already know, Xiaomi has announced quite a few devices this year, mostly smartphones. The company has covered all bases, they’ve released a number of entry-level, mid-range and high-end devices this year. The Xiaomi Mi 4i is definitely a mid-range smartphone, but a really solid one. This phone was originally announced in India earlier this year, and rumors started popping up lately that the company is working on a new variant of this device which will be powered by the Snapdragon 808 SoC (Mi 4C) instead of the Snapdragon 615 which is fueling the original. Those rumors quickly turned to leaks, and the device has since popped up on AnTuTu, its retail box leaked, and it ever received network TENAA certification (China’s equivalent to the FCC).

Speaking of TENAA certification, the Xiaomi Mi 4C has surfaced on there once again, but this time around we get to see its specifications as well, not only network support details. So, it seems like previous leaks were spot on as far as specifications go. This will essentially be the Mi 4i with the Snapdragon 808 running under the hood. The phone will sport a 5-inch 1080p (1920 x 1080) IPS display along with 2GB of RAM and 16GB of internal storage. Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 808 64-bit hexa-core SoC will power this phone, and Android 5.1.1 Lollipop will come pre-installed here with Xiaomi’s MIUI OS available on top of Google’s operating system. You’ll be able to find a 13-megapixel camera on the back of the Mi 4C, while a 5-megapixel snapper will be available up front.

Previously leaked specs also said that the device will ship with a 3,080mAh battery and Type-C USB 3.0, which is quite probably accurate. As far as the design goes, this handset is completely identical to the Mi 4i it seems, its measurements are exactly the same, same goes for weight and general looks. You can check out TENAA’s images in the gallery down below if you’re interested though. The Xiaomi Mi 4C will launch in China soon, and according to previous info, it will cost 1,559 Yuan ($251), though keep in mind that this pricing is not confirmed just yet, of course.
