Xiaomi Mi Note 2 Leaks, Dual-Cameras & Thin Bezels In Tow

Xiaomi has announced quite a few handsets this year, but their Mi Note and Mi Note Pro offerings are still the highest-end devices released by the company in 2015. The Mi Note and Mi Note Pro were released back in January, and have been available in China for a long time. Xiaomi has introduced a number of additional smartphone offerings after that, and we’re still waiting for the company to release their new flagship, the Mi 5. While we’re waiting for this China-based company to do that, new leak surfaced. The Mi Note 2 probably won’t launch anytime soon, but the first render of Xiaomi’s 2nd-gen flagship phablet has surfaced on Weibo recently, read on.

If you take a look at the provided images, you’ll see the alleged Mi Note 2 phablet. These images come from @KJuma, and the device looks very sleek, but the question is, is this real? We can’t possibly know that at the moment, especially considering these are only renders, so we’ll save any conclusions for later. The device sports a home button below the display, and very thin bezels all around. Its side bezels are almost non-existent, and the top and bottom ones are very thin as well. If these renders are accurate, the Mi Note 2 will sport a really great screen-to-body ratio, that’s for sure. The device also sports dual cameras on the back, and above them you’ll find a dual-LED, dual tone flash. Presuming these images are legit, this will be a rather significant design change on Xiaomi’s part.

Anyhow, the Xiaomi Mi Note 2 is rumored to sport a 5.7-inch QHD (2560 x 1440) display along with 4GB of RAM and 32/64GB of internal storage. Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 820 will quite probably fuel this phablet along with an Adreno 530 GPU which will be in charge of graphics. The 23-megapixel camera is located on the back of this phone, and a 12-megapixel shooter will reportedly going to be located up front. The 3,500mAh battery will be located on the inside, and the phablet will offer Qualcomm’s Quick Charge capability. Android 5.1 Lollipop will come pre-installed on this device with Xiaomi’s MIUI 7 skin on top of Google’s operating system. That’s more or less it, stay tuned for additional info, as we’re sure something will pop up soon.
