Recently, ZTE has been aiming to produce a number of more high-end products and cement their position within the flagship range of devices. This became ever more evident when the company announced the launch of their latest smartphone. the ZTE Axon Pro. This one came sporting a number of good specs and priced quite competitively. Shortly after the launch of the Axon Pro, the company also then announced a European version of the device which goes by the ZTE Axon Elite tag. With names like “Pro” and “Elite” it is quite clear the market the company is hoping to attract and so far, they seem to be doing well with the brand.
Well, it now seems that ZTE might not be finished with the announcements for the Axon line as reports are coming in that a tablet has now been spotted being benchmarked on GFXBench. The tablet is being listed on the benchmarks along with the ZTE A2016 model number and once again, seems to be sporting a number of more high-end specs, especially for a tablet.
In terms of the specs, the benchmarks revealed that the ZTE Axon Tablet will come equipped with a 13.7-inch display. Making it one of the larger tablets on the market. The display will comes with a 1920 x 1080 resolution. Moving to the inside and according to the details, the Axon Tablet will be equipped with 3GB RAM and powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 810 octa-core processor (clocking at 1.9 GHz). While in terms of storage, the device will come with 32GB internal storage as standard. There also does seem to be a microSD card slot on offer too for further expansion when needed. Moving to the cameras and it looks like a 7-megapixel camera is on the rear of the device while the front sports a more modest 2-megapixel camera. Other feature worth noting in the benchmark results include NFC support, LTE support and the usual bunch of sensors. In terms of the operating system, the device is listed as coming running on Android 5.0.2 (Lollipop) out of the box.
Of course, the one point benchmarks never elaborate on is the price or the availability and this is likely to play a factor in the success of an Axon Tablet. That said, the route ZTE has been taken with the Axon line does suggest that the price might be one which is competitive for the specs on offer.
