After months of speculation, HTC has finally unveiled their latest smartphone in the form of the HTC One A9. This has been a device which has been highly rumored on, although those rumors have now come to an end. The One A9 has now been announced and along with that confirmation, a number of availability details are starting to come through. The first of which came in the form of HTC announcing there will be an unlocked carrier-free variant of the device on offer. This will initially be available for $399.99 and able to be purchased directly from HTC. Since then, Sprint has also came out and announced their intention to carry the One A9 along with providing prices on their monthly, leasing and outright options. In the case of Sprint, pre-orders will open today and shipping commences November 6th.
AT&T has also now broken their silence on their standing with the One A9 and have now confirmed that they will be carrying the latest HTC device on their network. However, unlike Sprint, AT&T has yet to fully release all the details of their option to buy. As such, pricing has not yet been confirmed, nor has any major details on when the device will be available through the carrier, either in terms of when pre-orders will open or when shipping will commence. If you need a spec-recount, then the HTC One A9 comes with a 5-inch display with a 1920 x 1080 resolution. Inside, the One A9 in the U.S. will come equipped with 3GB RAM, 32GB storage and powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 617 octa-core processor. Cameras on offer include a 13-megapixel rear-facing camera which is coupled with a 4-megapixel UltraPixel front facing camera. The One A9 sports a fingerprint scanner, a 2,150 mAh battery and running on Android 6.0 (Marshmallow) out of the box.
