When it comes to mobile devices, it continually seems to be the case that battery life is one of the biggest and more prevailing issues. Smartphones are coming with bigger capacity batteries, but are also coming with bigger battery draining components. As such, the battle continually seems to be ongoing for newer and better charging solutions.
Most of these charging solutions do seem to be coming in the form of both hardware and software tweaks with numerous different ‘advanced charging’ methods in place which all go by different names (fast, quick, real etc), but essentially offer the same service, a faster charge so that when you need extra power you can get it much quicker. Probably the most famous of these is the latest Quick Charge technology from Qualcomm. This is Quick Charge 3.0 and follows-on from the popular Quick Charge 2.0 tech which you will find in most of the current flagship models. Of course having a Quick Charge 3.0 device is one thing, but without a compatible charger, you won’t be able to take advantage of that increased charging speed. For instance, HTC’s latest device, the HTC One A9 has been noted coming with Quick Charge 3.0 but does not come with a Quick Charge 3.0 compatible charger in the box.

However, the charger at the time was not available with October scheduled for its release.
