Carphone Warehouse Debut Moto X Force in YouTube Video

On Tuesday, Verizon and Motorola announced the Motorola Droid Turbo 2 (as well as the Droid Maxx 2), with its ShatterShield technology, the display should never shatter. Now here in the US, we pretty much expected that we wouldn’t see it elsewhere here, seeing as the Droid brand is exclusive to Verizon. But we did figure that we would see it in Europe and Asia a bit down the road. And on Thursday, Carphone Warehouse did indeed post an official video taking a look at the Moto X Force, or the Droid Turbo 2 for outside the US.

Now it’s likely that someone at Carphone Warehouse did post this prematurely, similar to the BlackBerry Priv launch. But either way it’s here. We have heard lots of rumors that it would be called the Moto X Force, and well it looks like that is indeed true. As far as specs go, they are all the same. So we have that 5.4-inch QHD AMOLED display, powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 810 processor inside along with 3GB of RAM and 32GB of storage. And it does indeed have ShatterShield, which is one of the big selling points of the Moto X Force, and highlighted in the video, which you can see below.  They also highlight the ballistic nylon back that is available on the Moto X Force, there was no mention of Moto Maker for the Moto X Force either. That’s not to say it’s not part of the Moto X Force, it just wasn’t mentioned. As soon as we learn more, we’ll definitely update this post.

So far we don’t have a whole lot of information on the Moto X Force. And the links in Carphone Warehouse’ video also don’t point to any active web pages. Which also means we have no idea when pre-orders will start nor when general availability is going to start for the Moto X Force in the UK. It’s highly likely that we won’t see the Moto X Force make its way into the US, however we will likely see it come over to Asia, as the Droid Turbo and Nexus 6 did last year but with different names.
