Google has unveiled their new Nexus smartphones on September 29th, the LG Nexus 5X and Huawei Nexus 6P. The two devices still have very limited availability, but Google is trying to expand that as soon as possible. The company has unveiled the two devices in India, the second largest smartphone market in the world, two days ago. During the launch, Google has said that both devices will be available for purchase starting October 21st, while the two devices are already available for pre-order.
That being said, everything is in order with LG Nexus 5X pre-orders, that’s not something we can say for Nexus 6P pre-orders however. Flipkart is the exclusive online retailer for the Nexus 6P, and it seems like there are some problems with Nexus 6P pre-orders at the moment. The phablet is rarely available for pre-order, a number of consumers are trying to get the device but are unable to do so, which actually reminds us of some cases like this we’ve seen in the US in previous years. I tried pre-ordering the 6P late last night but it was unavailable. Is October 21 the concrete launch day? The few who managed to pre-order received a November 2 release date,” said Alekh Khanna.
November 2nd? Well, didn’t it say October 21st? Yes, it did, but apparently that’s not the final release date. It seems like Flipkart will be receiving stock of Nexus 6P devices at the end of October, so they can’t ship the devices so fast. All in all, it seems like the system is flawed, which prevents users from normally pre-ordering the Nexus 6P. The reason why consumers can’t pre-order whenever they want is because Flipkart is taking pre-orders in batches, which has been confirmed by the company’s spokesperson. He also added the following: ”Those with the Flipkart app will receive a notification as to when pre-orders will happen. Limited stock will be available for pre-order from 8AM Thursday.”
The Huawei-made Google Nexus 6P sports a 5.7-inch QHD (2560 x 1440) display along with 3GB of RAM and 32, 64 and 128GB of internal storage (the first two variants are available in India). Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 810 64-bit octa-core SoC fuels this handset, and a 3,450mAh battery is available on the inside. The 12.3-megapixel camera can be located on the back of this phone, and you also get an 8-megapixel selfie snapper. The phone is made out of metal, and it ships with Android 6.0 Marshmallow pre-installed.
