This past week was perhaps one of the biggest this year in regards to Android and mobile devices, with multiple announcements from Google and LG, as well as some from Samsung and Amazon. Just a couple of days ago Samsung’s Gear S2 smartwatch began going on sale in the U.S. at Best Buy as well as on Amazon’s website, finally giving consumers access to purchase the latest smartwatch from Samsung. Speaking of Amazon, they held their own small announcement this week stating that Google and Apple streaming devices would no longer be sold on the site after Oct. 29th which has fueled quite a bit of controversy with consumers.
Just this past Thursday LG officially announced a brand new phone that will perhaps end up as the first of a new flagship line, the LG V10 that comes with a secondary display, as well as a brand new smartchwatch, the Watch Urbane 2 which is the first Android Wear smartwatch with cell capabilities. The biggest announcements this past week though came from Google who unveiled multiple new products last Monday, including the second generation Chromecast, Chromecast Audio, the new Pixel C tablet, and of course, the long awaited and highly anticipated LG Nexus 5X and Huawei Nexus 6P smartphones as well as the official announcement of Android 6.0 Marshmallow.
