Each year it seems as though Verizon and Motorola can’t outdo themselves, but with their latest pair of Droids, it looks like they’ve done just that. The Droid Turbo 2 is packed full of specs with an excellent display as well as a super-fast Snapdragon 810, while the Droid MAXX 2 is all about that battery life. Here, we’re talking more about the Droid Turbo 2, and we were lucky enough to be invited along to the event in New York City, which means we’ve got hands-on pictures direct from the event.
There’s definitely a little Moto X look in this year’s Droid Turbo 2, but there’s no question that this is a Droid, but a more refined version of last year’s option. The display has grown a little bit, but at 5.4-inches it’s still not a giant device, and yet it still offers up a brilliant Quad HD resolution. That screen size means that the Turbo 2 is a Droid that’s easily handled in one hand. The different color and texture options for the back panel are all here and we have some shots of those down in the gallery below. It’s as if the color options from the Moto X Pure got a little more mean and powerful, and there are less of them, but it’s definitely a nice option to have that’s for sure.
We got chance to look at some of the different Moto Maker options here, but the real star of the show here is what’s on the inside and that shatterproof display, which Motorola is calling ShatterShield and the Droid Turbo 2 is the first device to launch with it. Those interested in what the new, more colorful and appearing Droid Turbo 2 looks like in-hand can take a look down below.
